Does not replace UKF8001
I pruchased the Aquafreah WF295 to replace a UKF8001, it did not fit. It seems that the center hole in the filter is not deep enough, I tried several times, and even removed the rubber washer in the bottom of the hole, it still would not seat properly. After several attempts, and a lot of water in my frige, I gave up. I called the manufacturer, tech service said it was a direct replcement, but if it still doesn't fit, take it back to the distributor, and the distributer states to call the manufacturer.
water tastes like plastic
Installed 2 days ago and we're still tasting plastic/metallic water. I guess I should have known when I saw the comparable price to known US brands that this was just one more Chinese piece of crap product. Amazon should "man up" and place a country of manufacture on EVERY product so we can make an informed decision. Wouldn't surprise me if the lead they took out of baby toys over the past 2-3 years is in these filters. Save your money and your taste buds. BTW: I've owned my refrigerator for 5 years and NEVER had an issue with Pure Clean II, so don't tell me to "flush the system" (which I have subsequently done).

good filter went right in frig easy accesss works fine got it fast very happy with filters will order again next year
