NEW Replacement Part - Whirpool Dryer Thermistat Kit Part# 3977393

This got my dryer working Again!!!
Pros - one part fit very well.
Con - the second part had a jumper wire, but it was not exactly like the one I had.
I did not install this part. The other part I installed and it made my dryer work at getting HOT again...

Seem to have thought this out
The replacement kit worked perfectly. I thought I was ordering a single part but they also sent another part that must have been failed if this part was failed. I was about to make a trip to town to get a certain connector I needed in my particular application but i took another look through the package and there it was!

The price was also outstanding.

Saved Us Money
When our dryer stopped heating I was sure it was time to replace it. It is old enough that I didn't even know if a service call was in order. Thought I was going to have to buy a new dryer. A little research on You Tube, found this may be the culprit and for the low prices of this product my dryer is good as new!

Rada Knife Sharpener

Rada Knife Sharpner
I have been using this product for years and I love it. The best sharpner I have ever found. I give them as gifts to everyone I know. My children all have them and they tell their friends, so I have to always get more. I usually get them at the street fare in Palm Springs. The day I was there he wasn't so I ordered through Amazon. GREAT PRODUCT

IMAGE® 28 Holes Ring Rope Multifunctional Clothes/ Tie / Belt / Scarf Hanger Organizer Holder Rack Space Saving White

Great scarf organizer
Great product. Rope finish is nice. Holds all my scarves. Also good for belts, I may get another one; really handy.

Great Buy
I bought this to organize my ridiculous scarf collection that is still growing. It fits everything nicely as a behind the door hanging system. Every scarf I have fits in the rings, and if it comes to it, you could easily triple the scarves in each ring.

The only issue I have is that since there are a lot of scarves, it obviously gets bulky and it makes it hard to keep the door closed.

Other than that, it doesn't snag my scarves, it displays them beautifully, and I know where everything is without having to pick through a pile of scarves in my closet. It is well worth the money.

Yippee, organized scarves!
As I've recently decided I love scarves and have collected quite a few, I really didn't have the drawer space to put them in, so I thought I'd give this gadget a try. Works great! You have to put shorter scarves on the bottom row or have a high bar to hang it from, but they are visible, the scarves don't slip, and you can see what you're looking for at a glance. If it holds up well over time, I'd probably change the rating to 5 stars.

Chocolate Fountain and Fondue Melting Wafers (Milk Chocolate)

Great Tasting Chocolate
I was worried about the flavor of this chocolate but it was great. I used in in a fountain and it melted with no problem and flowed very well. I would recommend it. It was a big hit.

Easy Fondue Milk Chocolate
Perfect and easy. I received a fountain for christmas and ordered this chocolate for a test trial...so easy. You dont have to add any oil. Open the package pour it into a microwave safe bowl melt and add to the machine. Yes that easy. I was worried about the right amount of oil to chocolate but I realized once I received it no oil needed. YES!!!! I will tell you this... I found this same chocolate at my local kitchen store for $6.99 each same size. Im one to always save a dollar just bought 6 more bags. If you cant find it locally get it from amazon its worth the price. Simple, Easy and Wonderful!!!

wonderful
This chocolate is great. It isn't too sweet. Melts easy in our chocolate fondue pot. The kids have almost used the first bag so I bought another to have on hand. Valentines is coming up and I know they will have it out then if not before.

Philips Saeco RI9737/20 Vienna Plus Automatic Espresso Machine, Silver

Good Superauto for the Money
I recently purchased a Vienna Superautomatica as an inexpensive second espresso maker. The first thing I noticed is that it is Italian made like many of the great espresso machines. The body of the Vienna is "graphite" plastic, and while it does not feel first class, it somehow has a pretty sturdy feel to it. I also like that the footprint is pretty small thus taking up little counter space.

I opened the manual, which is not particularly clear, but need not be on account of very simple operation. The Vienna has three buttons--on/off, coffee, and steam. It also has a steamer control knob and a water volume knob.

I turned on the machine after filling the coffee and water tanks. The buttons feel Italian--you'll know what I mean if you've owned an Alfa Romeo. They are a bit clunky next to my old Capresso C1000, but they work well (for now).

The Vienna takes a couple of minutes to warm up--I don't mind this for reasons I'll reveal in a minute. The coffee...

Best value in Automatic Espresso machines
Vienna Plus is my third fully automatic machine. I loved my first, Saeco original Vienna, hated the second, Saeco Incanto classic. The original Vienna worked for 3 years every day, making consistently good espresso before the pump gave. I should have paid for repair, but I succumbed to that stainless steel twinkle and went for Saeco Incanto classic. More expensive for sure. Worse, better said inconsistent, coffee quality, constant small problems relating to built quality concerning the brew group, the grinder and the steamer wand. After a year of irritation a pump seal has failed while making espresso, nothing like a small explosion in the kitchen in the morning, I tell ya. Well, gone back to the trusted Vienna, now with the plus in the name. Good old days are here again .... Compared to previous- it is a lot quieter, when both grinding and steaming, it is also a lot quicker to warm up then before, steam is ready a mere 15 seconds after pushing the button. Espresso has a beautiful...

A Great Cup of Joe: A Saeco Vienna Plus Super-Automatic Espresso Machine Review
We owned a Saeco Vienna Deluxe since January 2004, but decided to purchase a newer model in September 2010. The Vienna Deluxe served us well for six and a half years, but was beginning to show its age. The Saeco Vienna Plus is the updated version of the Vienna Deluxe.

Saeco's Vienna Plus super-automatic espresso machine is simple to use. Add up to 57 oz filtered cold water to the reservoir, up to 12 oz beans in the hopper, and then turn the machine on. While warming up, adjust the volume dial for a 1 to 6 oz pour. Once ready, press the coffee button once to make an espresso or twice for a double shot or two espressos. If a latte is desired, press the steam button after the espresso has finished brewing and turn the steam knob to activate the pannarello to steam the milk. Turning the steam knob without pressing the steam button will produce hot water from the pannarello instead.

The perfect espresso may require adjusting a couple dials in the hopper. A...

Black & Decker FHV1200 Replacement Filters 2-Pack

Convenient purchase
I bought my Black & Decker mini-vacuum mainly for my mother, as it is lightweight and easy to use to perform small house cleaning tasks, such as picking up crumbs in the kitchen. The mini-vacuum itself is useful, although it must be re-charged very frequently, so one cannot expect to cover much territory in cleaning kitchen floors or car interiors. However, if one has already purchased the mini-vacuum, it is helpful to have refills on hand. I find that I need to brush off dust from these filters and gently wash them from time to time in order to allow the mini-vacuum to operate effectively. I recommend these filters to anyone who purchased a Black & Decker mini-vacuum.

Found
I found these hard to find filters for my hand held vacuum. I was able to get the best price. They arrived on my door step, quickly and undamaged. This is the way to shop!

CANNOT LIVE WITHOUT
These replacement filters are perfect for my Black & Decker handheld vacuum. These vacuums are so terrific I bought another for upstairs as well. Great product.

Z Line ZLKB30 Stainless Steel Wall Mount Range Hood, 30-Inch

Way better than name brand!
I'm always worried about ordering bigger purchases online since you can't always tell the quality (especially with metal work) from photos online. But this unit, exceeded all of my expectations. It is top notch metal and design. Also I was surprised to find out that the vents facing the stove look like the cool commercial style vents that usually cost a lot more. Also shipping time was super fast and it was well packaged/secured in the box. Install was easy and the timed shut off feature is fantastic. Thumbs up all around from me and my fiancee.

No way this 760CFM; It's probably 300CFM max
The only thing I can say good about this range hood is its look. It looks pretty neat for the money. I really could not find anything that looks better than this for the money.

I purchased this range hood to replace my current range hood (which is rated at 500CFM) mostly because Z-Line says the range hood is 760CFM in its product description. If that was true, it would be a good deal for the price (I paid $300). But the amount of air this range hood actually pushes out at exhausted vent when running at it max speed is much smaller than my old range hood does. I don't have an air flow meter to get an accurate number, but looking at how much the flap on the vent opens and feeling the air stream blown out when running this range hood at is max v.s. when running my old range hood, I would estimate this range hood is 300CFM max.

Other than that misleading description, this range hood has several other flaws:

- The exhausted pipe come with the range hood is...

Seriously: Don't Waste your money
So, we wanted a good looking chimney style vent hood that did not break the bank to replace our over the range micro which was completely useless for removing cooking smoke and grease. 640 CFMs for less than $300? Decent reviews on Amazon? Sold! Are the rest of you reviewers paid by ZLine? Because this is the biggest piece of garbage, waste of money that I have ever invested in. Saying a lot, I know, but read on...

For the price, I did not expect this to be on par with a Ventahood, or even a lower end Broan, but I *did* expect it to function, at least minimally. Word to the wise: you get what you pay for with this one. Had it not been too late to return this item without a hefty $100 shipping fee by the time our kitchen remodel was almost complete and we were ready to install, this would have gone right back. Unfortunately, we found that there is zero useful information on the company website, much less a human to talk to. Just try to find any information on the ZLine...

Whirlpool 4317943 Ice Maker Replacement Kit RIM943

Whirlpool Replacement Icemaker
This was exactly the part I needed for my broken Whirlpool icemaker. This kit came with several different wiring harnesses and attachment clips to choose from, but in my case, I was able to unplug the old wiring harness and plug it directly into the new unit. I have a side by side and it was a little awkward to remove the old icemaker since there was not a lot of room to work. But I was able to do the whole swap in about 15 minutes. First, I'd advise you turn off the fridge. I removed the three screws holding on the old icemaker and then using a small slotted screwdriver removed the old wiring harness that plugged into the icemaker. I then removed a plastic bracket from the bottom that held the 3rd screw in place and attached it to the new unit. Inspect your old unit to see the if your unit requires a cutout where the water lines comes into the icemaker. This unit doesn't have the cutout, but it is prescored if you need a cutout. All you have to do is use a pair of cutters to...

Works, Great Price, not exactly as pictured
The good:
1. The ice maker fits in my KitchenAid refrigerator and it works.

2. The price was right: $54 w/ free shipping.

3. The ice maker comes with more wire harnesses than shown in the picture. I'd recommend anyone who buys this, keep their old ice maker as you may want to 'recycle' your old wire harness just in case.

The not so good:
1. The fill cup needed to be modified to accept the fill tube. It's molded in such a way as to make this modification easy, however, in my case when I tried to cut it, it developed a couple of cracks. Sounds worse than it is. Not even a drop falls outside of the ice maker -- it's just a funnel. But the quality of this part is suspect - they should have used a softer, less brittle plastic that would cut easier.

2. The picture shows two shut off arms (the bent silver wire). Mine only came with one and it wasn't the one I needed. The shut off arm from my original ice maker fit in perfectly, so...

Works as advertised
This ice maker was a direct replacement for mine (Whirlpool PN# 4317943), even used the existing wiring harness. My OEM unit had an "ice maker plus" attachment snapped to the front that is basically a small fan housing that blows air across the ice tray. The white cover pictured pops off and the ice maker plus snapped right into its place. Three small Phillips head screws hold the unit in place in the freezer, the wiring harness is quick-disconnect type that has a plug on the end.

The device made its first ice in about 3 hours, some reviews do state that it takes 24 hours or so for the built in thermostat to work but that wasn't the case with mine. Local parts houses want $120.00 USD for this exact same unit, you can get it on Amazon for $40+/- and install it in 15 minutes. I saved the old unit and extra parts that came with the new unit for future use (parts salvage) if needed.

Update: 08/20/2012
While everything above is accurate the unit has failed in the...

Bissell Power Force and Cleanview II Bagless foam vacuum cleaner filter part# 2031192

Circle shaped filter works great but the flat filter does not fit my unit
Works well, but does not fit my vacuum. The compatibility numbers were correct, but when I got it, the flat filter does not fit my vacuum anywhere, so it's wasted.

Exactly What I Needed
I like to have two of these filters on hand to swap out since they tend to gunk up and reduce the suction on my vacuum cleaner. Also, the original filter had finally broke because the seal gave. This is exactly what I needed and the price was right!

Good replacement
I like to have a spare filter on hand while the other one is getting washed and dried. It seems to fit just fine and works like the one that came with the vacuum..

Accu Sharp 008 OD Texas Black Knife Sharpener

Incredibly Sharpening ..
Not sure what review I read about this product, but it was toted as a great everyday knife sharpener and CONSIDERABLY less expensive than the electric model I was considering. I've been using this sharpener for almost 6 months and with a few very easy strokes, my knives are always sharp...very sharp.

Fantastic
This item works great on every knife I own.
It's been used on a machete, bowie knife, hunting knife, a cosplay sword, and my Gerber Ridge pocket knife *very small knife*. It worked perfectly on everything. All my knives are sharp enough to cut through anything smoothly. I love it and it's a fabulous buy for anyone who needs to sharpen a knife.

Excellent value
What can I say, at first i was a little disappointed with this device. But after a little practice, what can I say, it works, and works great! it's not a professional sharpener, but why would you ever need a professional sharpener? a few quick strokes once mastered and you have a very sharp knife.

Zojirushi NS-YAC10 Umami Micom Rice Cooker and Warmer, Pearl White, 5.5 Cup Capacity

Umami Rice Cooker NS-YAC10/18
i love my Zojirushi's top of the line Induction Heating Pressure Rice Cooker (NP-HTC10). But i couldn't resist Zojirushi's new Umami rice cooker that was released earlier this year, which is a mid-line model that costs about half of the premium pressurized model. The main difference between this Umami model and the premium model would be the lack of induction heating technology and the pressurized system. However, after trying every setting on this rice cooker, the cooked rice is every bit as good as rice cooked in the premium model. I would definitely recommend people on tight budget to buy this model because it is almost $250 less expensive than the premium model. Th Umami model uses only 610 watts of power, as compared to the premium model that uses 1,230 watts of power, yet it produce similar quality rice as the premium model. The premium model uses considerably more energy to cook due to the induction heating technology.

Delicious rice that keeps for a very long time
Zojirushi sent me this cooker to review a couple of months ago and after cooking with it several times a week for two months, I can honestly say that I am extremely happy with the cooker's performance. Coming with loads of settings for quick cook, GABA brown, no rinse, porridge, mixed, slow cook, etc, what sets this cooker apart is the new Umami setting, which cooks the rice slower to give you a more savory pot of rice.

Cooking on the Umami setting will take longer, approximately 1 hour for 2 cups of rice. It does, however, taste better than if you use the Quick Cook function, which does well when you're in a hurry for dinner. The difference is in the aftertaste of the rice. When eaten plain, there is a distinctly sweeter taste in your mouth after chewing and it brings one dangerously close to just standing by the cooker eating gobs of plain, hot rice.

The downsides include a thick and unwieldy power cord that isn't retractable, a cover that doesn't easily snap...

Excellent Rice Cooker
I have been cooking rice in this for a couple of weeks now and have found it to be an excellent rice cooker. I was a bit skeptical at first in regards to the umami setting, but thought that it would be worth a try. I can now say that I am glad that I decided to wait for this rice cooker to come out. As Crystal Watanabe mentioned in her review--the umami setting does add a slightly sweet aftertaste to the rice as opposed to the regular white or quick cook setting--which lacks the 'umami' flavor. Also, the sweet rice setting does cook sweet rice very well without needing much pre-soaking.

I do agree with the previous reviewer--Crystal Watanabe--that the power cord is a bit unwieldy and the 'non-stick' rice paddle isn't quite non-stick; though that is a minor inconvenience. I didn't find the lid to be hard to snap shut--it closes very easily for me. Perhaps the lid in her's is defective.

Overall, I would definitely recommend this rice cooker. Also, for anyone...

BestAir L15 Lasko Replacement Wick Filter

Be Careful- Does not work with Humidifier shown
This ad makes it look like it fits the humidifier pictured, but the filter is for a 1155 the humidifier pictured is a 1115. Of course I didn't notice that until it arrived and it did not fit. You can cut it to make it work, but it is hard to cut and there is a lot of waste. Amazon really flubbed this one, so be careful!

Bait & Switch
When you buy a humidifier, the ad says, people who bought this also bought, and a humidifier filter is shown. The problem is IT DOESN'T FIT THE UNIT YOU BOUGHT.
The company denies responsiility because dimensions are listed (they aren't listed for the humidifier you just bought).
You appeal to Amazon who denies your request and denies you the reason fir it's finding !

Works very well
I only have to fill it up every other night, is easy to clean and refill, and is very quiet.

FunTime FT2518SK 2.5-Ounce Rock'n Popper Hot Oil Popcorn Machine

Great machine. Lousy Great Northern popcorn
The machine works great and is easy to get up and running.
CLEANING:
I run hot water in the pot and wipe it down with a damp cloth every third or so use.
I use a damp cloth to wipe down the inside of the cabinet at about the same ratio.

The only drawbacks to the machine, are that it sits an inch to high
to go in between my counter top and cabinet bottoms, so has to
sit out on one of my island counters, and the pot will make a skip noise and jump every once
and a while when a kernel gets stuck between the wire stirrer and inside of pot.

I would highly recommend staying away from the pre-packaged popcorn like
the Northern kind as it is more of a hassle than it is worth, as you end up
using some kind of a cup to transfer the oil and popcorn into the popper because it
is almost impossible to get the package into the confined area where the pot is.
After a couple months of use I have come up with this scenario. (See...

Great present
I bought this as a Christmas present and they say it is just awesome. My grandkids are 9 and 6 and love it. I would buy another when my grandson gets old enough to eat popcorn!!! Great price! I also ordered the premeasured popcorn and oil which makes it easier!!

Popcorn Is My Weakness!!
I love popcorn and this was perfect! My girlfriend got this for my birthday and in perfect timing for the hockey playoffs. This machine works great I have popped soo much popcorn already. All you do is turn it on for a few minutes then put in oil and kernals POP! done in no time. Im glad that its not too big and still pops a good amount it also is not that hard to clean.

Bissell Style 7, Style 9 HEPA Filter; Compare to Bissell Part#32076; Designed & Engineered by Crucial Vacuum

Save your money, this does not fit properly!
Vertical edges fit snugly; horizontal ones do not (at least an 1/8" gap). The filter is smaller than the opening it is supposed to cover, so air and particulates will just bypass it.

Crane Demineralization Filter Cartridge for Crane Spongebob, Hello Kitty and Thomas the Tank Cool Mist Humidifiers

Only made things worse.
We have the "Hello Kitty" humidifier and I bought this filter in the hopes of reducing the white dust from the humidifier, but all that ended up happening was that the water in the humidifier turned a dingy yellow-brown color and my daughter's room FILLED with white dust. We had to open the windows and turn on the attic fan just to clear it all out. I'm not sure why this happened. I followed the directions on the box (although it's 100% fool proof, all you have to do is place the filter in the base of the unit). We're actually better off without a filter and I'll be returning this for a refund.

Great and easy to use
We have the Hello Kitty humidifier and this has made a tremendous difference. Very easy to install and off you go!!! No more white film on everything. Will continue to buy these in the future!

Easy to use
I bought the Hello Kitty humidifier for my daughter before I realized that it used a different filter than the Crane Duck humidifier I bought my son. It was frustrating that they didn't match, but I like the way the Hello Kitty filter works much better and the next humidifier I purchase will be compatible with this type of filter. It takes a minute to get the water flowing through the filter, but it seems to catch any "white dust" that would otherwise come out. And when i take it out of the humidifier and set it by the sink, it seems to dry out nicer than the other filter. Added bonus: my 2 year old likes to help set up the humidifers and can insert this one by himself.

Meat Grinder Electric 2.6 Hp 2000 Watt Industrial Meat Grinder Butcher Shop New

Not built well, also no sausage stuffer
Two things. As someone else mentioned, this grinder does NOT come with the sausage stuffer tube. WHY?
Second and more importantly, it will not stay together properly when grinding. After aligning the grinder head to the body and tightening with all my might, it will force the grinder body out of the alignment slots and slightly twist the body. While this will still allow the grinder to work, it will cause premature wear and only get worse.
No matter what you do, it will not stay in place when grinding.
Had to return it.

I hate it
To our surprise, it doesn't stay together while grinding and makes a metallic sound as if it is working forcibly.

Awesome meat grinder
I always wanted to make my own ground beef was not sure which one to purchase with plenty of selection in amazon.i decided with this meat grinder that had plenty of hoarsepower and it did with no issue grind the meat.now I enjoy my fresh ground beef in a instant.

Oreck Commercial U2000RB-1 Commercial 8 Pound Upright Vacuum with Helping Hand Handle and EnduroLife V-Belt, 40' Power Cord

Oreck Commercial U2000RB-1 Vacuum
I really truly love this vacuum! I had a refurbished one that I purchased on ebay and used it for 10 years until it died. After doing some research, I decided to get another one. The U2000RB-1 has some nice updates - the longer piggy back cord, and the helper handle are two that come to mind immediately. It sucks up dog fur and dirt like crazy, and has no problems going from wood/tile flooring to carpet, and small throw rugs. I use the Enviorcare Vacuum bags, and they last a good two months each, and that's with three dogs, all being heavy shedders. Before purchasing on Amazon.com, I called Oreck customer service to make sure this was an authentic Oreck, and that the warranty would be honored. They do sell on several on-line discount websites, and the warranty is honored. Oreck lists this vacuum at $249.99 on their website, so the Amazon.com price of $189.00 and free shipping was a no brainer.

Orecks are the best vacuums out there!
I grew up working with my family's cleaning company and now having my own company Orecks are the only vacuums I trust. I have tried so many other vacuums, but nothing is as reliable and sturdy as an Oreck. Dysons do lose suction, and don't get me started on obnoxious canister vacuums. For home and business I only use Orecks. I love this new Oreck U2000RB-1 so much that I just ordered a second for home. The free amazon shipping couldn't have been faster! I received it 2 and a half days after the order was placed! Thanks Amazon!!

40 foot cord is the difference
lightweight; yes, the mid height placed lift handle is well positioned, balanced and makes lift and movement, particularly on stairs with carpeting and hardwood very efficient. have owned several orecks. this has no headlights and I consider that an advantage. this is all in the pickup and this picks up extremely well. I don't get certain brands that tout hypoallergenic but you have to place the canister over a receptacle and dump. how does that not get particles into the air you are now breathing. this machine uses the old style bags and is another plus from my point of view. when you remove the full bag it is self sealing and can be removed and discarded without any airborne additions. The cord for me is the best feature. It is detachable and is forty feet. I can zoom around most of each floor of the house from one outlet. If I get too aggressive pulling it around the cord plugs into a cord emanating from the vacuum in a cradle. It is a commercial product, no frills, just...

Vitamix 1710 Professional Series 500, Brushed Stainless Steel

Vitamix? Yes!... This model? Maybe...
First of all, let me join the others in saying that this appliance can truly be life-changing and I should have purchased it years ago. If you are considering this blender to eat healthier by adding fruits, vegetables and other natural, nutritious foods to your daily diet then don't wait. In just couple of weeks I have learned the basics and use my Vitamix at least once daily. I've lost weight and feel better, and I eat out just for the convenience much less. The ingredients to make a smoothie and many other recipes keep well in the fridge and freezer and it is easy and economical to have a healthy meal at hand.

However, this particular Vitamix may be over-kill for most. You pay around an extra $100 for the 3 presets over the 5200 model but they only add a small measure of convenience in my experience. The hot soup setting doesn't make the soup all that hot. I made a small batch of tomato soup and I had to transfer it to the stove for warming before serving. In other words,...

The Rolls Royce of Blenders
As I also posted on the Williams-Sonoma website, I had no qualms about spending $600 on this appliance after throughly researching reviews and videos and discussing with food pros. Am using at least 3x a day - hot soups, frozen fruit treats, dips, and smoothies and lassis to die for. So easy to use - no need to peel or remove seeds from fruits or vegetables. The 64-oz container is lightweight and easy to pour from; rubber lid snaps in tightly - no leakeage - and removes easily. It's important, for maximum effectiveness, to always put your wet ingredients in before the solid - this will prevent the solids from gumming up in the blades. As clearly stated in the accompanying recipe book - place the ingredients "in the order listed." Also a breeze to clean, and such a handsome addition to the kitchen counter - next to my Cuisinart, which is quickly becoming jealous from disuse. Not surprising that this is the blender used on Iron Chef - I keep freeze-framing on the TV image to reinforce...

Believe it or not, it IS worth it IF you use it!
Never thought we would spend this kind of money for a mixer/blender! But we did and love it!! Use it everyday for smoothies, salad dressings, frozen desserts etc etc. It is a workhorse and works as advertised. Saves a lot of time. We grate parmesan cheese and its perfect every time. Margaritas, fresh peanut butter..I could go on and on or maybe I have. Haha. Anyway, if in your budget, buy it.

Black & Decker Food Processor, 8-Cup

Great Product for the price
This f.p. is somewhat noisy, but an excellent value. (I got mine at WalMart for $25). It is the same as the B&D fp1800b model, but is slightly larger (10.7 x 17.3 x 7.5 inches ;7 pounds VS 7 x 10 x 15 inches ; 6.5 pounds), meaning the newer version probably has a bit more plastic parts. Otherwise, it is identical. It is WONDERFUL at chopping onions and slicing veggies (potato gratin is now a BREEZE to make).

If you want EVEN chopping, without mush, PULSE the f.p., then run it for a bit, and then PULSE again. This mixes the vegetables, so you don't end up with chunks.

It does a great job with pasta dough and pie crusts, but again, use the PULSE function.

Model Number FP1700B-- Make Sure You Have the Right Model Number
I was a bit hesitant about buying this food processor because I read the reviews for all the models and all of the reviews for the various models seem to have been dumped in together by Amazon under one UPC. However, once I had the Model Number it all came clear.

Contents of the box: 1) the base, 2) the processing bowl, 3) chopping blade, 4) slicing blade, 5) disk stem, 6) food pusher, and 7) lid with chute.

I got this for the specific purpose of making nut butter. I'm still trying to perfect the process but I'm pretty impressed by the food processor. There's two buttons on the first. The one on the left (facing the base) is a stop/pulse button. The other is an on button. I use the pulse button except then I'm trying to mush things up together.

The unit was easy to assemble. Sit the work bowl on the base with the handle a little to the right of the lock, slide it to the left and it locks into place. If you are using the chopping blade just...

Just what I needed!
As I believe other reviewers have noted, this is not a water-tight food processor. However, it works great for heavier sauces and solid foods. If you hold the lid down tightly, you can do thinner sauces with minimal leakage (remember to put the tamper in too...). I make chopped salads, flours, and sliced veggies without any trouble. There are only two people in my house, so the size is perfect. If I were cooking for three or more, it might be a bit small.

Note that this is not a high-powered processor. Sauces will not be the creamy smooth they are on your favorite food blogs or in cookbooks. They will be edible, but not great. This is a processor for chopping and combining solid foods; sauces are a risk you'll take yourself. (Specifically, I've made several cashew-based, vegan sauces with unimpressive results.)

For the price, this is a great addition to an amateur kitchen.

Holmes HAWF2043 Dual Blade Twin Window Fan with One Touch Thermostat

Triple Comparison Review - Bionaire BW2300 - Holmes HAWF2043 - Honeywell HW-628
You are in luck today.

This is a direct comparison review between the three most popular currently available twin window fans:

Bionaire BW2300 Twin Window Fan with Remote Control
Holmes HAWF2043 Twin Window Fan
Honeywell HW-628 Enviracaire Twin Window Fan

If you are interested in purchasing any of those widow fans, read on...

I didn't intend to have to do this review because I didn't intend to purchase more than one of these fans. I can tell you now that all of these fans are super cheaply designed and built and none of these fans are perfect, but in my opinion, one is worse than the others.

Holmes HAWF2043 Twin Window Fan: my rating -...

thank goodness a great fan!
this fan is just so wonderful, it cools/exhausts my bedroom so quietly and efficiently. It's one more thing that I don't have to worry about. I love the thermostate setting feature, when i leave for work in the morning my room is usually cool enough so that the fan shuts off and will re-start automatically to exhaust the hot air from the room at noontime. If the room becomes too cool at night, the fan will shut itself off! It is so quiet and really gives a good breeze! I bought 2 and my son loves his too!

good price, good fan
I was actually impressed with the power. For an inexpensive fan, it does a good job. It's not exactly "whisper" quiet, but it sounds like it should - like a fan. Don't expect perfect silence. Very easy to set up and the one-touch temperature controls are very cool, although mine is always set on high since I'm really, really fat and I sweat all the time. OK, I'm really not fat, just sweaty. Anyway, in my opinion, this a good deal and I would recommend buying it. Gotta love Amazon.com.

Compact Electric Herb Grinder (Assorted)

Nifty
I've owned this for about a month. I was curious how this little thing worked when I saw it, so I threw down the money. It's got a pretty solid build, feels real sturdy. The plastic screw on lid unfortunately gets stripped pretty easy if you're not careful. If you buy this, be sure not to use the batteries that come with unless you absolutely have to. They're really bad batteries. Really bad. I used them, and they wore out in pretty normal time I'd guess, then replaced them with some new heavy duty AAA Kodak batteries and it totally put new life into the motor within this thing. It spins twice as fast, and the final verdict on how well it breaks the average tobacco consistency?? Practically turns it into powder. A very worthy purchase, and I'm interested in seeing how long it lasts.

I like it.
Used it for me and my 420 buds, ya know ;) and it works fine for that purpose. We normally break it up a bit, then tip it upside down, so your *eh-hem* is on the bottom of the lid, then start it and tip it. Works great.

Grinder
Nice grinder. Exactly what I expected. The batteries are cheap and should be replaced with Duracell batteries for the grinder to work best.

Maytag Dryer Drum Roller / Washer Assembly 12001541

Falls apart after 3 months
The OEM parts lasted over 5 years. I bought these in Aug, it's now November and the rubber looks like it has melted on both rollers and one roller had the rubber break. I'm buying OEM instead of POS next time.

roller
This roller is a good fit. The only issue is that you have to practically disassemble the entire dryer to install. I recommend installing both rollers since you are already taking the dryer apart.

Not at all durable
I ordered this in December 2010 and probably installed these drum wheels in January of 2011. Here I am 15 months later, and the rubber on one wheel has completely shredded already. I guess you get what you pay for - I do not recommend this item to anyone. Presumably this is aftermarket (based on the price). I'd hope OEM would be more durable.

Toastess TCP-713 Hot-Air Popcorn Popper

Great for coffee, bad for popcorn
Two stars for popcorn

If you're thinking of getting this for popcorn, don't. It doesn't pop about 10% of the kernels, and shoots popcorn and kernels in all directions. I have another popper that pops fine using the same corn, so it's not the corn. Look no further and get a Presto Poplite.

---
Five stars for coffee

Attention coffee roasters! This is an excellent home roaster. It has 1200 watts and roasts coffee in half the time of my West Bend Air Crazy (1050w). The beans spin very fast and get tossed around a bit, producing a very even roast. The body stays cool for easy dumping but the lid gets very hot. It does start to spit out a few beans as they get lighter, but that's not a big problem and is even a good indicator of when to stop the roast.

I'd say the roast time is similar to the very popular discontinued West Bend Poppery II (also 1200w) as I can do a full city roast in 5 minutes. But unlike the Poppery II, it has a switch! This...

Great for roasting coffee beans, worked for popcorn too!
I bought this popper for roasting coffee beans.

But I did run a batch of popcorn through first to make sure there was nothing wrong with the machine. Popped all but a few kernels, so I didn't have any issues with it for popcorn.

I then started roasting coffee beans. Machine works great for roasting, creates an even roast as the beans are always moving, and it doesn't take long to get up to roasting temperature. I have noticed that the plastic top is starting to melt, going to look for a chaff chimney to use instead.

Overall great machine!!

Excelent Coffee Roaster!
Just getting into coffee roasting recemtly, found the Toastess for all the reasons previously listed; rotational air, flat bottom, 1200w, etc. I didnt feel it getting a high enough temp, so I am a tinkerer and made a mod to my toastess which I will share with you that ensures the coils get hot enough to have full control of your coffee.

BISSELL Lift-Off Steam Mop, Titanium

A Video Review of the Bissell Lift-off Steam-Mop

Very impressive... cleaned the bathroom on the first day! - but there is a leak issue.
Although I've wanted to try a steam cleaner for some time, I've never used one before. But I really like the idea of cleaning without chemicals. I was pleasantly surprised with the performance of the Bissell.

First, you have to assemble it which is very easy. There were four main parts in the box along with a number of smaller accessories (two small brushes (one labeled kitchen, the other bathroom), counter attachment, a window attachment, a grout brush attachment, two washable cloth mop heads and a washable cloth for the window cleaner). To assemble, you attach the mop head to the mop body, attach the mop handle to the mop body and then dock the removable steam pod into the mop body and viola, you're done! Fully assembled, the unit can freely stand on its own. Freestanding, it's about 44 inches tall and according to my scale, it weighs 9.2 pounds without water. The device has a nicely curved handle and it is the perfect height and shape to maneuver the mop with...

It's Okay But Not Spectacular
I give it 4 stars because I wasn't blown away.
We bought this last night from Target for $149.99 which would probably make it about the same in price minus shipping and handling via Amazon. I was sold on it versus the Shark because it had a 2 yr warranty instead of the 1 year Shark offered. Warranties are a GOOD thing. I think overall the benefit you are getting from the steamer isn't the cleaning capabilities as much as it is a sanitizing capability. It is mostly steam and air. Unless you JUST spilled coffee or something on your counter, years of grime and baked in grease will only come off with a scrubber... or a blade.

I have 7 kids. I cook a lot and our bathrooms and floors get a lot of traffic. I thoroughly used every tool on the machine from 9:30 pm until 2:30am (I had to finish what I started!). I first started on my bathroom which has a whirlpool tub as well as a 2+ person shower with LOTS of tiles and 2 VERY LARGE glass walls. We rent this house and the grout...

Chef'sChoice 679 Cordless 1-3/4-Quart Electric Glass Kettle

The max capacity is 1.75 litres, NOT 1 3/4 cup as stated
This electric tea kettle boils 1.75 litre of tap water in exactly 8 minutes, then automatically shuts itself off. It is saving us time and cooking fuel, and saves itself from boiling dry and self-destructing. I highly recommend it for those who need a couple pots of boiling water every day. So far(in a month or two), neither the heating plate in the bottom nor the glass pot itself have crusted up with mineral deposits and the water tastes pure and clean.

Good but can be improved
I bought this kettle to replace a Capresso one, which I liked but it did not last long -- the handle broke off at the top just when garantee expired. I also hoped that this kettle will solve the problem of bad chemical smell apparently coming from the silicon or plastic seal between glass and metal heating element. Alas, this kettle has the same problem as Capresso! I hope smell will disappear as it did eventually in Capresso. Also, I was a bit disappointed that it took 7-8 min. to boil max. water -- longer than Capresso, I thought, but maybe I am forgetting. Another annoying feature -- the package said "fast and quiet," but it was neither. It was quite noisy, much noisier than Capresso. And don't even think to fill this kettle with more water than max -- even that was too much: the boiling water was splashing so violantly, I was afraid it would spill over, but luckily it did not. But the next time I'll use less water than max. With all this said, the kettle did its job, turned off...

(not so) Excellent product (READ UPDATES)
[ORIGINAL REVIEW]
I recently started drinking a lot more tea, hot cider and hot chocolate. As such, I was boiling a LOT of water on the stove to pour in my mug. Using a sauce pan. Not very efficient.

I realized I needed a kettle to boil water. I spent probably two hours online looking at kettles -- cast iron, copper bottom, aluminum, stainless steel, ceramic coated, etc. Then I realized the real problem was heating up water on my stove top; it uses an enormous amount of power. What I needed was a self contained, energy efficient electric kettle that was made of inert materials so it wouldn't impart any bad taste to the hot water and convenient for pouring/storing the water between heating.

Didn't take me long to hit on the Chef's Choice model. More than I wanted to spend, but otherwise met all my criteria -- tempered glass so I can see the water level/heating state at a glance, easy to get on/off the base, enough capacity, black and stainless design,...

Broan LB30 30-Inch Hood Liner

Does the job
I bought this to go with the Broan PM390 Power Pack Range Hood Insert, Silver. I bought an older home that had an empty-inside wood hood (no over stove cabinet) and thought this liner would slip right in there, we pop the fan in, and that's it. I downloaded all the instructions, spec sheets, etc., I could find online ahead of time.

The instructions (both from the web and from the box) are confusing. We weren't even sure which end was up (looks different in different drawings). My contractor had to call the 800# for advice and that person told him that the insert is not designed to hold up the fan. He said you have to either have a cabinet or build a box. In effect, this liner is just to cover up the wood, protect it, and give a stream-lined look.

After some discussion we decided to just use the liner to hold up the fan and it seems very solid. The liner installs with the opening...

YOU NEED THIS ONE FOR SURE.
IF YOU GOT THE CUSTOM LINER THAT MATCHES THIS PRODUCT THEN YOU FOR SURE HAVE TO GET THIS ONE TO COMPLETE A GREAT ADDITION TO YOUR KITCHEN. ITS VERY SILENT AT LOW AND MEDIUM. A BIG FACTOR IN NOISE IS GONNA BE THE DUCT YOU ARE USING. 4 INCH IS USUALLY THE STANDAR BUT 6 INCH WITH THE BROAN RANGE HOOD THAT GOES WITH THIS LINER IS THE BEST. YOU WONT EVEN HEAR IT. ITS SO SO QUIET. I RECOMEND IT. DEFINETLY!

Easy Installation
Fits very nice in the cover that was built over the stove top. Completely covered with wood an out of sight.

Dimplex DGWH4031 4000-Watt Garage/Workshop Heater

Fit for purpose - excellent product
I purchased this product to heat my 24x24 (7'6" ceiling) garage under my house. During the coldest periods where I live (Western Connecticut) the garage gets down to the low 40s.

After installing the heater and powering it up, in about 10 minutes the chill is gone from the space. After about an hour the space is very comfortable (about 62 degrees - an increase of about 15 degrees from when it was turned on). By the end of the second hour the space warmed to 68 degrees. The built in thermostat turned down to about 3/4 maximum maintains that temperature.

The unit's internal fan is a little bit noisy, but since the unit is intended for a garage/workshop the fan noise is in my opinion not a big deal.

The unit is very well made and easy to install. After installing a 220 Volt 20A single circuit receptacle, I hung the unit in the center of the room from the ceiling about 4 feet from the rear wall of the garage. The bracket that came with the unit is...

Very impressive little heater
I have a 24x24 garage with 10 feet ceilings. I did exactly as the last review did, mount it on the ceiling about four feet off the wall. Don't expect this to heat your space quickly. It works quite slowly and you can't really notice the heat, which I think is great. I turned it on at 4am in the morning and the garage temp was 40 degrees. After about 15 minutes, temp was up to 43 degrees. In about an hour it was up to 52 degrees and after 90 minutes it was up to 60 degrees. This unit is quality built and extremely quiet. It lacks the bell and whistle but is very inexpensive compared to other units. It only requires 240 volts and 20 amp breakers, all standard in the home. ( the other heaters require 30 amp breaker which requires more cost). it also come with a cord which save you another $40 over the other models. I highly recommended this unit as it compares well with the 5000 watt units with out all the extra cost. Plus if you want it to heat up a small area in the garage...

Warms up the garage, sometimes too much
Installation was very simply and it does the job of warming up my garage. However......

It's only been in use for about 2 months and the built-in thermostat sticks so the heater doesn't shut off at it's preset temperature!!! It just stays on full heat!!! This could be a hazard!

Instead of going through the headache of sending it back for warranty service, I'm just going to buy a programmable thermostat rated for this unit and controlling it that way.

I would not buy this product again due to the thermostat problem. The built-in thermostat is very cheaply made aparently. Quality should be paramount due to the type of unit that it's in. I should have looked for a unit made in the USA. This unit is, like most everything else, made in CHINA.

*************************
I've installed a programmable thermostat and it's working great, since it's not being controlled by it's built-in thermostat.

Vornado iControl Whole Room Vortex Heater, Automatic Climate Control

Disappointing
I bought this heater based on some reviews - the features mentioned in other reviews I actually mostly agree with. It is quiet, it has a nice display and the unit is small. But - as far as effectiveness as a heater it stinks. Unless you're heating a very small room it's inadequate. I have some other small space heaters and they are more noisy but they run less and heat more. I'd trade the quiet for better throughput. When the vornado runs for a long time (hours) The output seems to be noticeably less warm than when it first runs. The unit also has a safety feature which automatically turns it off in case it's tipped. This is a great safety feature that should be in all space heaters but on the vornado the switch is so sensitive that it sometimes turned off even if it's just lightly bumped even though it's still sitting completely upright. Even on hardwood floors I have to go press the unit down to get it to start heating again. I would not buy another and am even more upset at its...

Extraordinarily quiet, but great output
I purchased the heater for our bathroom. I have been through quite a few bathroom heaters. It's the only room that I want a little toasty. This so far is the best, it's quiet, so quiet I didn't think it would work, but quickly effective.

Perfect for the nursery
We got this heater to maintain the temperature in the nursery without having to heat the whole house. It's great! I was always worried that my little one would get too hot or cold during the night. This gives me one less thing to worry about. Bonus points for providing pleasant t white noise and for being a fan (noted for reducing risk of SIDS). Worth the price for the reassurance but still high in my opinion.

Domo Toaster

Great
[Good]

The Look of the Toaster: What you see is what you get. It looks just like the picture.

Toasted Bread: It looks like the pictures. It is a bit off centered unless you move the bread to one side of the toaster, which you can figure out pretty quick. It's not too burnt either.

Toast Setting: You can set how burnt you want your toast to be. There's a light setting

Fast: Maybe it's been a while since I used a toaster (when I was a little kid) but I'm pretty surprised as to how fast this thing works.

[Bad]

The only thing I can think of that's not so great is the price. It's a bit steep, but it's understandable given both the features and the fact they had to license the character. Anything Japanese typically isn't cheap.

[Misc]

The setting ranges from 1-5. The best setting for both look and taste is somewhere between 2 and 3.

Love Domo; don't like Domo toaster
I'm a huge Domo fanatic. I have at least twenty of the plush toys, and a few calendars over the years.

When I saw this on sale, I jumped at the chance. And I needed a toaster.

As it turns out, I needed a toaster that worked well. This is a pretty awful toaster because it won't toast something and leave enough of it that's edible. The Domo "face" is so entirely charred that it renders the rest of the carb uneatable. If you set it a little bit lower a setting, it won't touch the bread at all.

I wouldn't buy it again, I can't recommend it, and I look for the chance to get a real toaster.

Super Fun
Great Domo toaster. I must admit that I feel a little guilty spreading butter all over a toasty Domo, but I expect that he likes it.

Battery for iRobot Roomba

My Robot Steve
This battery is good and wicked cheap and saved Steve's life!

Here is my review poem:

My robot's name is Steve and Steve was mighty sad
the only thing that he could do, he only could do bad
he tried to clean the room, he tried with all his might
but after only minutes he knew he'd lost the fight
with an empty robot heart, fully knowing he'd done wrong
he'd sadly flash his red light and play his all done song
I thought back to the good old days when Steve was young and new
a cleaning machine unrivaled by nary mop nor broom
he'd suck up all that nasty dirt, around the room he'd jog
bumping into tables and frightening the dog
those glory days were passed now, sadly my friend Steve was dead
the dust that Steve once proudly sucked now gathered on his head
With a cry of desperate longing and with credit card in hand
I bought this battery and had it shipped (for free) across the land
and when that big...

Great deal!
Amazon is by far the cheapest battery I found for my Roomba. IRobot wanted $70 on their site, and Target wanted $50. I couldn't be happier with the quality. It has given new life to my Roomba. It's a sure thing.

Does not work well.
I purchased two batteries in May 2011 and here we are in August 2011. One of the batteries is doing just fine. But the other one does not work now and has not worked since July 2011. Surly this battery should work longer than that.

Casabella Mini Muffin Cups

Sturdy, colorful, 12 in total
These come in sets of 12, 2 of each color. They are thicker than the Wilton ones (red and blue, standard muffin size) and muffins pop out of them, unlike the Wilton ones. They can be placed right on a baking sheet; they do not need a mini muffin pan. That will save some space in my kitchen. I'm going to get another set, so I have 24 and also the larger sizes. Very happy with the purchase.

Small Muffin Cups
These muffin cups are very cute and the material is great, however... KEEP IN MIND THAT THESE ARE EXTREMELY SMALL. They are 2 inches across the top and about 1 inch across the bottom so they don't hold very much and if you plan on baking with them your muffins are going to be tiny! Amazon also sells the standard and large muffin cups from Casabella so consider looking into those if you're looking for more volume. :)

adorable little muffin cups
I originally ordered these to use them in my bento lunches. They are great for holding small servings of dips like hummus or chutney. I also use them for small servings of fruit or for when I add a treat like chocolate covered raising to my lunch.
I also like to use them for baking. I was making a cake the other day and decided to use some of the batter in these little cups. Then I included the mini cakes in my children's lunchboxes the next day. They loved it!

Duraflame Livingston Portable Heater, 10HM2273-W505

THIS REVIEW WILL HELP A LOT OF PEOPLE!!!!!
Hi, My name is Eric. I have thought about getting one of these infrared heaters for the past couple months now. I live in Southern Indiana, in a well insulated bedford stone home. We have right at 1000 sq. feet. Our main source of heating is an electric heat pump, with baseboard heating as a supplement. I am a Realtor, so I see a lot of homes and I thought if this heater would work for a home it would be mine, because of the size and the great amount of insulation I have. For people that don't know, Bedford stone homes are very solid, and in most cases well insulated. I did my research on these infrared heaters. I have probably read through hundreds of reviews trying to find the best heater. What I found out was that for every heater out there your probably going to find a few bad reviews. People have to understand that every home is different and what works for some might not work for others. Main things you have to take in to consideration is the amount of insulation, celing...

quartz heater
What a beautiful quartz heater. It is like a piece of furniture. We live in an old farmhouse in Northeast PA. Lots of drafts in the kitchen where we placed this unit. We used to have to eat in the dining room during the cold winter months but are now able to sit at the kitchen table, thanks to this heater. The cord and wheels allow you to aim it at the sink or stove or anywhere you are working. With the price of heating oil over $3.10/gallon, this has helped to keep the kitchen warm. Thanks!!

OK for a small room.
I live in Ohio in a small wood frame country home. My main source of heat in the winter is a forced air propane furnace. Propane is very expensive and I bought this Duraflame heater to help keep my heating bill down. It is in my livingroom which is about 14' x 18' with 9' ceiling. The heater is a beautiful peice of furniture. Very attractive wood, and it is quite heavy, which I think is always a sign of quality construction. I have to admit that this unit has kept my furnace from running so far, however, we haven't had any really cold weather yet. BUT, we have had a couple cold nights in the 30's and the heater couldn't keep up. I have a feeling that when the weather turns really cold this heater isn't going to do much good. It seems to be great for cool weather but not for the really cold stuff.
The thermostat on my unit is absolutely useless. The thermostat setting displayed on the unit dosen't seem to have anything to do with the real world. You have to find a...

Cuisinart CTO-140PC Convection Toaster Oven Broiler

Well designed, superior performance
I bought this one to replace a well-worn Black & Decker countertop oven that had given many years of fine service. This one provides all of the quality of the B&D and more. It's very well designed and constructed, the controls easy to use, the bright blue digital display is easy to see and tells you what you want to know, and the shelving options are very convenient. You can even get a 12-inch round pizza pan inside with room to spare.

The Cuisinart comes with a reversible shelf, a rectangular baking pan, a broiler rack (fits in the pan), and a removable tray at the bottom for catching whatever escapes from the pan or rack. Makes cleanup, when needed, very easy.

The oven has a wide heat range, 150-450 degrees F, allowing for anything from gentle warming to serious roasting. We always use the convection mode except for broiling, and the results with everything tried so far have been excellent. The timer lets you know when the operating temperature has been...

XtremePowerUS 4 in 1 Newspaper, Paper Log Briquette Maker

One tough cookie
This item is a stout piece of equipment and will get the job done. It appears to be made in Germany--all the instructions were in German and id did not say "made in China" anywhere. I am good with German quality. The item works as advertised and will have a long service life. In the course of an hour I was able to press out 48 bricks from my pre-soaked paper mash. This is a must-have item for anyone seeking to reduce their dependence on the grid. Skip the single brick maker and knock out the job in record time.

So far, so good
Took me a little while to get my process down. Once I did a little research on how to prepare the paper properly, I have been making nice full bricks that are very compact. Key to the process is not to get in a rush. Soak the paper for several days. Someone also suggested that you can add tbsp of bleach to the water and it will help to break down the paper. Just added some to my next batch, so we'll see how it goes. Newspaper works the best and it binds together really well. If I have a lot of regular paper, then I add some newspaper to the batch to help it hold together. As for the burning - don't know just yet as my first bricks are still drying. It takes a few weeks for them to fully dry, so you need a place to store them on a rack until they are dry. Comparing the size to a regular piece of wood, they should burn for 30-45 minutes.

UPDATE: All is going well with this. I have somewhere around 200 bricks so far in about 4 months. The product does work as...

Well Made
Overall it is a good "go green" product that serves its purpose. The instructions came in German which is not a huge deal since it is self explanatory to use. It does need a lot of pressure to squeeze out the paper. I nor the other woman I did this with at the office did it very well. A man came by to help us which solved the problem.
Our first paper bricks did not come out very well. They did not bond as anticipated. They were soaked over the weekend with a tab of bleach, as was seen on one of the Youtube video's- perhaps this was why. Living in Alaska, the temperatures are still low during March =) We have had it sitting on a heater for 5 days and is still wet. I think it will take 2-3 weeks to dry.
Originally we got this for a youth group to use, which is still possible. Going to try again this weekend, without bleach, to see if that changes anything.
The product was as expected.

BonJour Frother, Rechargeable Primo Latte with Electric Base

NiCad AA 1.2 volt non replaceable batteries
The one bit of very important information that is not stated anywhere (in the description OR in the reviews here, until this one) is that this is no different than any other 2-AA battery powered frother. It simply has 2 PERMANENTLY MOUNTED (non user replaceable) nickel cadmium 1.2 volt 600 ma AA batteries inside of it.

This means that if you store it on the counter in the charger after every use, it will quickly develop the dreaded "memory effect" of nickel cadmium batteries (i.e., if you use it for only one minute at a time before recharging it, the batteries begin to "think" that they only have enough power for one minute).

Since these batteries aren't user replaceable, the item quickly becomes JUNK.

You could get the exact same thing by purchasing a standard 2-AA battery powered frother, then using NiCad AA batteries in it. A better option would be to use nickel metal hydride AA batteries, as those would run at 1.3 volts, and not suffer from a...

Best Frother EVER!
I owned a battery operated Bon Jour frother for 4 years...it worked great but quit working last week. I missed the frother so much that I had to get another one...so when I looked to order it, I found this rechargeable one and decided to give it a try in spite of a few bad reviews. This frother is MUCH faster than the battery operated one, and much sturdier also. I believe the reason a few reviewers have had problems keeping a charge on this gadget is this: you must do an INITIAL charge of 16 hours and THEN keep the charger stand UNPLUGGED if you keep/store the frother in the stand. The instructions explain that if you continue to discharge the battery in small uses (as one would with normal daily use) and then put it directly back onto the charger while plugged in, the frother will no longer hold a long charge. This battery needs to be almost entirely DISCHARED before you RECHARGE it. The instructions for charging plainly state: "The life of rechargeable batteries can be...

Fantastic Frother that is used Daily!
This is a very useful rechargeable compact frother machine. It takes up little space and is always ready to be used for making perfect froth.

The froth that I make with ff milk (skim) even doubles as a whipped topping on ff puddings. I am saving a lot of money making my own daily Lattes. In fact the money I saved from going out and purchasing from Starbucks paid for the Frother already and I just got the machine a few weeks ago. I really use it several times a day!

I never had problems with it recharging as one customer stated on this review page; perhaps it has been improved since theirs was purchased.

I would truly recommend this item to anyone wanting to make their own frothed drinks. The Rechargeable Primo Frother gets my FIVE STAR RATING!

Wall Lenk L12SCK Cutlass Stencil Cutting Kit

Best tool for cutting your own stencils !
I have used this product for over a week and have cut out over 30 stencils already. This product works like a charm. It takes about 5 minutes to warm up to maximum heat but after that it cuts through stencil sheet material like butter. It is as easy to use as a pen. Previously I used an exacto knife set and let me tell you this product far exceeds that archaic method. It comes with 2 different tips but I have only found use for the straight tip as I don't see how the curved tip will improve on its ability. For stencil material I use Grafix Dura Lar "Matte" stencil sheets sold in a pad of 25. I originally purchased a thickness of .005 but would recommend a thicker medium such as .007. Make sure to get the matte version as it can be drawn on with pencil without smearing and you can erase any mistakes without so much as a smudge left. Also be sure to purchase the sheets in a pad and not a roll because the pad sheets will always lay flat and not curl like most stencil mediums. I purchased...

Wall Lenk Stencil Cutter Model L12SCK
To whom it may concern:

The following item worked very well, just make sure you use a hard surface to cut your stecils on, like a piece of sheet metal or a hard piece of smooth wood, it has to be a hard surface to cut on..Otherwise your stencil won't turn out right, and all you've done now is made a mess and yourself very mad..Also read the instructions on the package, it tells you some important things as far as how to store it, when operating it and when not in opreration, and so on. I beleive this unit works very well and is worth the price I paid for it...Thanks, feel free to contact me if you have any questions regarding this product or stencil's in general, I would be glad to help you...

Kevin Sampson

On the money.
Bought as an experiment, I left the X-Acto blades on the table. It cuts through mylar like a hot knife through butter and leaves precise clean lines. You have to cut them on a heat resistant surface. I put a piece of glass over my light table and went to town. It cut my working time on a moderately complex stencil by 2/3s

Waring Pro WPM10 Professional Popcorn Maker

burnt & soft popcorn
Like many customers on-line I seem to be replacing an older "stir-crazy" model only to find poor reviews on the newest model (and every other unit too)- so I had to choose among the models/brands that seemed to be the least frustrating. That is how I ended up with Waring unit. But, as many mentioned, it is almost impossible to get popcorn that is not burnt- you have to take it out BEFORE all the kernals are popped or there is no way to keep that from happening. Also, the popped corn is not as crisp as the older unit (I've tried with top lid on and off).

So a little frustrating to replace a 10 year old unit that saws lots of usage to only find the quality on all these products seems to have gone down.

better than WestBend!
My Westbend popcorn popper was hard to wash, the lid cracked after only a few uses, and after a summers use, it was just old and yucky. This waring pro is fantastic! First it has an on/off switch!!! Second the lid... it is thicker, the top for melting butter is larger and the lid stays attached. Third and very best of all, the base separates from the electric heating unit! This makes for a product that will last a long time, stay clean and get a lot of use. Bravo! to Waring for making such a thoughtful and great popcorn maker. Butter flavored olive oil is great! There is also butter flavored grapeseed oil. If you like oil popped popcorn and you want something that can be easily maintained and cleaned, this is hands down the very best of the best! Worth the extra buck!

Solid Option for Popcorn Lovers
I bought this popcorn maker as a Mother's Day gift for a mom who frequently pops bowls of popcorn over a stove top. The main benefit of the Waring popcorn maker is that it requires less oil than you would need with the traditional stove top method. Another perk is that the top of the appliance doubles as a bowl for your popcorn once it's popped. The bowl is a decent size, but if you regularly use your biggest mixing bowl to serve your pots of popcorn, keep in mind this bowl is a more modest size.

The primary downside (and this goes for many specialized appliances, not exclusive to this one) is that it's somewhat hefty and will take up a good chunk of space on your counter top. For that reason, I'd really only recommend buying it if you're truly a popcorn enthusiast and will use it frequently enough to warrant the kitchen space you'll need to store it.

Nesco WT-2SG Add-A-Tray for FD-37, Set of 2

You will so need at least one set of these !!!
Works well with the dehydrator its designed for- Nesco FD 37, and I am so glad I got them when I ordered the dehydrator. I'm getting more as soon as I can as it would be a convenience to have 6 trays drying and 6 trays loading. I may even buy more dehydrators as its outstanding how fast 3 people, 2 on gluten free and 1 on diabetic diets, can go through good snacks !!!!!!!

Well Worth It!
I purchased this to add a tray to each of my Nesco Dehydrators. The additional tray fits right on the originals without any issues and increases the capacity of each drying cycle. Appearance is a little different than the originals that came with the dehydrator but works just as well.

Great Deal
I purchased the dehydrator and almost as an after thought bought these two additional trays. Boy am I glad I did. The very first time I used it to dry a bunch of bananas from our tree I filled every tray, even the two additional. Having those trays saved me from having to operate the dehydrator an extra time to finish the job. Well worth the price to expand the capacity.

Vornado Flippi V8 Personal Circulator

A good, versatile fan!
I bought the Flippi V8 today and I love it. The main reason for my love is that it replaces a floor model fan that stood out like a sore thumb. This fan sits on the shelf, oscillates, and does what it's designed to do-keep me cool.

I do agree that the oscillation switch could have been better placed but because this is a "personal" fan, I do not see that I will need to access the switch very often. If I do, I can just pick the fan up, turn it around, and flip the switch.

I intend to let it run 24/7 and I have 4 cats so it will be interesting to see how long it last.

It's OK
Pros:
* Nice looking
* Decent construction
* 3-year warranty & Vornado service
* Quiet but definitely not silent on low - I wouldn't call it "whisper-quiet" though (as the description states), as it's noisier than that even on low

Cons:
* A bit noisy on high
* Controls a bit cumbersome, with oscillation switch in the back and a roll dial on the front for hi, low, off settings

Other:
* On low, uses 9 watts or 12 with oscillation turned on
* On high, uses 14 watts or 17 with oscillation turned on

Love My Fan
I really love my little fan. He has helped save on the use of my air conditioner because it keeps my living room cool. The high speed is a little nosy but the low speed is real guiet. It has a switch for the oscilator, which is nice. The only thing I wish it had is a switch for the "on" "off" button instead of a roll dial. I have to use two hands to turn it off. One to hold the fan, and the other hand to roll the dial. Otherwise I love it. Terri

Soleus Air DP1-30E-03, 30 Pint Portable Energy Star Dehumidifier, with Humidistat

dries the air
I've been using this for several hours every day for three weeks now. I use this in different bedrooms or living rooms in my apartment.
Humidity in these rooms typically starts around 50-60% Within an hour of turning on the DP1-30E-30 on medium, the humidity is down to about 40% Within two hours it's down to 35% . From there humidity hovers between 30% to 35% as long as the unit remains on. I'm using an external humidity gauge to confirm the actual humidity. The DP1-30E-30 digital gauge and the external gauge agree.

If you unplug and then replug the unit, it remembers it's previous plugged settings. This means you can plug it to a daily timer which is very convenient.
The lowest fan setting is not quiet enough for sleeping. The lowest fan setting on the DP1-30E-30 is about the same noise as the highest fan setting of a typical plastic fan.

It's a large object to move around. However, it's wheels work fine on linoleum and carpet.
The intake...

Noisy
I purchased this to replace the recalled model from the same manufacturer. That one was so quiet that you had to go right next to it to know it is running. Not so for this one. Even on low it is very loud and periodically goes into a defrost cycle during which the fan shifts to high for several minutes which makes it even louder. The only saving grace is that the unit will automatically restart after loss of power which means it can be put on a timer to shut it down when you are trying to sleep or do something else that needs quiet.

Dry Basement
Works well. No problems attaching short garden hose and have it continuously drain, running 24/7 with no human intervention.
This is my second one as the first was recalled - did have any problems with that one either but I guess other people did.
