3M Filtrete Eureka HF-2 HEPA Vacuum Filter, 1 Pack

Better Than Generic Yellow/Orange see my images
I have had my Eureka 4870 vacuum for 7 yrs. I replaced the generic HEPA filters I WAS buying from other Amazon suppliers with the black 3M Filtrete Model HF-2 listed here, and (believe it or not) the black 3M Filtrete is far superior IMHO. The amount of air is much greater coming out of the front of the vac. A restricted HEPA Filter is just like a restricted bag. The generics I had used before had an orange casing & had the A & H scent "pad" in the center. Not good....not only did they smell worse than no scent at all but obviously the scent pad was restricting the air flow. Do not buy the Arm & Hammer models. They are shown on the first image above but mine does not look like that at all. The 3M Filtrete package is red & blue not red & white as the Arm & Hammer is. The 3M Filtrete Eureka HF-2 allows more air to pass through the vac, meaning more suction. Mine has the model # 67802A on the back (not front) of the wrapper, does not mention ARM & HAMMER just 3M Filtrete & has a black...

Good filter, tough fit.
As noted in a previous review, this filter does not fit in the Eureka vacuum without quite a bit of effort. However, I was finally able to get the door closed over filter and it works well.

Buy the Amazon version and get an OEM product
This is a genuine version of the filter and does not have the scented pads which are on the other versions. This has 8 vertical slots and 42 pleats which the original product has. This works well with the vacuum giving a full air flow. Overall this is the better product at Amazon for the HF 2 and is worth the extra cost compared to the generics. The Amazon price is much better than the retail price at least.

Filtrete Eureka HF-7 HEPA Filter, 1 Filter Per Pack

Works well
What can I say, the filter worked well in my Costco-purchased Eureka Model 2999 . I thought the vacuum wasn't suctioning as well and so I replaced the v-belt, cleaned all the places around that belt, and replaced both this hepa filter and the foam filter. I thought I might need to get a new vacuum but after all these steps the vacuum is running like new again.

Better than expected
When I ordered the hepa filter at the specified price, I thought I would be receiving a foreign knock-off. I was amazed that I received a 3-M factory original replacement at 20% of the regular price. That's an 80% discount! Even with the $5.00 shipping charge, I saved 30%. I couldn't be happier with my purchase or the timely manner in which it was delivered.

Haven't noticed a difference
I guess this is one of those products that you really don't notice until something goes wrong. Fits in my Eureka and I haven't had any problems or weird smells. Seems to be doing its job.
