Great Flip Waffle Maker For The Price... Make Sure You Spray Grease The Irons
I tried it for the first time yesterday. I felt like it was a gamble since I could not find any reviews on it before I purchased it. As it turns out, it worked great and made great tasting Belgian Waffles. I used Bisquick batter (the waffle recipe). Make sure you spray both sides with cooking spray (I did this for each waffle made). Once the irons are hot, pour the batter into the center, flip immediately, and cook the waffles for about 3 minutes for best results. Don't rely on the green light to come on to indicate the waffles are done. The waffles cook faster after the first one.
Great for the price
I bought this to make waffles for the family- especially because my toddler seemed to like waffles. After scouring the reviews, I liked the price and the comments on this waffle maker. My son is still working on chewing, so he doesn't like it if the waffle is too crispy. On the other hand, my husband and I prefer crispy. This is the perfect waffle maker for this!
We actually just keep the setting for how long on the lower side. When the green light comes on, I take out the waffle for my son. If I leave it, the light will go off and a few minutes later it will go on again and it's perfectly crisp!
One caution- even though it is a non-stick, you really do need to put some Pam on it to get the waffles off smoooth. Easy to clean. We make waffles every week and it's perfect. I would definitely recommend!
Great deal
I got this waffle maker a while back and have used it four or five times already. For the price and the ease of use I would recommend it to anyone who wants a good, reliable waffle maker but doesn't want to spend fifty bucks or more.
