Keurig V500 Vue Brewer

The same as the V700 with a few minor differences
There is no shortage of Keurig reviews online so I will use this one to address a lack of information on the V500.
First, the Vue V500 is functionally the same as the top of the line Vue V700. I recently went to Bed, Bath and Beyond to purchase a Keurig coffee maker as a surprise for my wife while she was out of town. She had expressed an interest in getting one and was dropping hints more and more frequently.
After a little research and armed with a 20% off coupon, I hit the store with the intention of purchasing the Vue V700. When I got to the end cap where the Vue was set up, I saw a Vue I wasn't familiar with and that was the V500. It isn't even listed on the Keurig website yet. We aren't huge coffee people so I thought maybe this would be a better fit at a cheaper price than the V700. Cell phone reception was weak and it was taking forever to look up information so I resorted to asking a BBB employee what the difference was and he was actually very...

Love my new Vue!
I have read just about every review out there and really was not sure about actually buying it because of some of them. But I am so glad I did. I love it! I bought the smaller size.

Here are the complaints I saw pretty regularly.

Too loud. No it really is not and I can not figure out where that idea came from. It sounds just like your average coffee pot as it just gets done with its brewing. It is a little louder I did notice when I used the frother. I wonder if that is because it is working a little harder to froth the milk mixture? Either way that is not even that loud.

Heat. Personally I used to be a gas station coffee and Scooter's coffee junkie. The Vue brews just as hot as they do. I did not expect it to be that hot and burned the hell out of my mouth on my first cup. It is set at 195 degrees and I know you can change that if you so choose.

Strength of the coffee. This one humors me because I have to wonder if these people actually...

Keurig Vue v500
Have a Keurig K-cup machine in the office and wanted one for my home. Could not decide on k-cup or v-cup machine. Love strong coffee and even though always buy the dark blends the coffee never seemed as strong as I would like it. After a lot of research I saw that Keurig was releasiing a new smaller Vue machine - the V500. Bought it March 17 (at BB&B with 20% off coupon). Have used the machine for three days and simply love the machine. Coffee was stronger (used the strong setting) and hotter (197 degree setting). First cup takes a little time but subsequent cups ready almost immediately. Noise? No more so than any other brewer. Will keep updating as I use it.

Mr. Coffee SJX20 12-Cup Programmable Coffeemaker, White

Great Mr. Coffee coffeemaker
I really like everything about this coffeemaker. It's very attractive (classy), it's very easy to use, and makes a great cup of coffee. I wanted a coffeemaker that was white (hard to find) to match my other appliances. This one fills the bill perfectly. It has a nice shape with just a touch of silver accents. It's easy to fill and very simple to operate. I also like the "beeps" when the coffee is ready and the "beeps" when it's about to cut off. The coffee stays very hot on the warming plate until it cuts off 2 hours later. The price is very reasonable and I feel it was a great purchase.

One negative I constantly read about on the Mr. Coffees is that it's so easy to spill the water or coffee. All I can say to that is to be careful and pour slowly. I have had no issues. It is not designed to "dump" coffee in your cup. Relax, pour slowly, and enjoy a great cup of joe!

I made a great choice!
I'd been searching back and forth through many reviews (Like you are doing now most likely if you're reading THIS Lol) hoping to pick the best coffee maker. Let me make it easy for you. Stop right here! THIS is the 1 you want. It is very simple to use, it's compact and not clumsy in form and makes life especially easy cleaning and the price is just right. The timer is very easy to set and if you don't have a loved 1 that will wake up early enough to have some fresh coffee ready and waiting for you, THIS Mr Coffee will take good care of you.
So rest easy, click on "Add to Cart" and make the purchase. Mr Coffee will do the rest for you. :)

Great Coffeemaker
I LOVE my new Mr. Coffee SJX20! I've purchased four much more expensive brands in the last several months searching for something new and different from my old and finally worn out basic Mr. Coffee which served me well but needed replacing. I was not happy with any of them and had to return them all. None made good coffee--some too strong, not strong enough, too hot, made strange noises, hard to use, etc. I finally went back to my old standby, Mr. Coffee, but upgraded to this new model. I couldn't be happier. Just shows you that more expensive doesn't mean better. And Amazon stocks the white Mr. Coffee which you can hardly find anymore. Packaging was excellent and delivery was fast, actually arrived sooner than expected. I'm a happy coffee drinker once again!! Thanks Mr. Coffee and Amazon.

GE WR50X10068 Defrost Thermostat for GE Refrigerators

Hand in Hand
This product goes hand in hand with GE Defrost Heater. May not be necessary but worth getting for a little extra insurance of having things work well.

works great!
thermostat came quickly and was genuine ge part. great price too! hope no one has to go through this whole no defrost thing but if you do this part along with the heater will help you fix it.

Almost caused my fridge to catch fire
DO NOT BUY THIS PART! The thermostat fails in the continuous position causing the fridge to overheat. It is supposed to switch off around 30-40F. Instead this thermostat didn't switch off until 100F !!! Returning
