Nostalgia Electrics JFD100 Cake Pop & Donut Hole Bakery

Can be used for large round cakepops
I was hesitant to order this because I saw a recent review saying that the bottom of the device created muffin-like donut holes, but I decided to try it anyway. That reviewer must have a defective unit, because this creates ROUND donut holes as the top and bottom plates of the unit have round holes. I made cakepops using this and the top and bottom plates were shaped correctly and the result was cake balls the size of a regular donut hole (maybe 1.5" wide?). I used strawberry cake mix in a box (with no frosting added) and baked them for about 5-6 minutes in this unit, they came out light brown on the outside (but not crispy) and soft and moist on the inside. The cake balls fit onto a cakepop stick just fine, but I really recommend popsicle sticks because the cakepop is heavier than traditional sized cakepops and may be very top heavy. No complaints with how it performed, easy and simple.

I don't usually write reviews, but I wanted to make sure people were not put off by...

Breakfast on the run-sausage bites, donuts, fritters, or Danish Ebelskiver!
A home delivery service sells a delicious breakfast product-sausage in the middle of blueberry muffin batter but round! Hmm! I bet my machine would do that better! My head began to dream of all the treats I could create with this new idea..bacon,cheese,veggies, in the middle of???? etc.And fruit bites would give a bite of dessert without a pan sitting around.

I bought this maker because of a family tradition--Danish Ebelskiver (a round pancake that takes a specialty pan) with a filling of some applesauce. I have a smooth top stove so the original pan slid around and I never became good enough to enjoy making them often; my family loved them though.

I discovered this baker at a local store yesterday and bought it, hoping to enjoy fresh donut holes and ebelskivers, fritters and beignet type of morning treats. The book mentions bite size brownies so that expands the machine's usage. I can think of many other uses.

This morning, as a shortcut, I tried a...

Oster CKSTRCMS14-R 14-Cup (Cooked) Rice Cooker with Steam Tray, Red

Great appliance, lousy instruction manual
This is my first rice cooker purchase, and my first attempt at rice turned out nicely. So far the appliance has worked great.

My only complaint is that the included manual does NOT do a good job at explaining HOW to make the rice. I expected an instruction manual/mini cookbook as you often see with kitchen appliances. This book has a tiny manual, and the instructions for cooking the rice are buried in the "how to's" of turning the appliance on, and such. I'm no dummy, but it took me several read-through's to figure out what I was doing. Oster could've spent a little more $$ on making a clear, concise manual to go with their product.

That being said, I love it so far! After many years of terrible batches of rice, I think this may be saving me! Looking forward to more successful rices ventures.

Nice Cooker
This rice cooker works excellent. Basically put rice and water in, then push button. "Set it and forget it". Perfect rice everytime.

Another RICE COOKER review from that Asian guy who eats rice every single day.
This is NOT the same as the one pictured on this page. I like this one better though, as it has more upscale feel to it. The white parts of the cooker (panel and handle) are actually black, which is why i like it better. The product I received is exactly this one: Oster 4751 14-Cup Rice Cooker, Black, only this one is in red. This is probably an updated version of the product.

Bottom line: Who cares? They function the same.

This review will look and sound like my other top rated Amazon review here: Oster CKSTRCMS65 3-Cup (Uncooked), 6-Cup (Cooked) Rice Cooker with Steam Tray, Black, because I feel the same.

"I do not see any reason why I should not recommend this."

This Oster rice cooker does what it is supposed to do, and that is to cook rice. I am from a South East Asian country so I know what I am...

Panasonic MC-V145MT 12-Pack Type U-6 Upright Vacuum Bag

Microfiltration
I will admit to enjoying cleaning my own house as it not only burns calories, it allows me to take a break from thinking intensely for hours at a time. Housecleaning can almost be meditative if you find the right cleaners. What is especially enjoyable about the Panasonic U6 bags is the microfiltration.

Over the years I've had bad experiences with vacuum bags that either broke, allowed the dust and dirt to return into the air or that simply could not contain more than

Chef's Choice 830 WafflePro Heart Waffle Iron

Best Waffle Maker And Very Easy To Clean
I purchased the WafflePro 830B (Belgian Waffle version). The waffles are uniformly cooked, and nice and crisp. Love the beeper function it beeps when the waffles are done. No more guessing.

The best part - I added too much batter and of course the batter overflowed past the nicely designed drip edge. Once the iron cooled down I ran my finger around the side of the unit and all of the overflow batter came off easily by wiping my finger over it. No scrubing required. The secret is that the overflow runs on to the plastic body. No metal to burn to and adhere to. The unit cleaned up in a heart beat... Best unit I have seen yet. In the last two months I have tried and returned both the Villaware and the Krups units prior to buying this unit. I am keeping this unit as it is the best, easy to clean, and perfect waffles every time.

Best "five of hearts" waffle iron available
The non-stick does not let waffles stick. The automatic ready indicator works for both heating and cooking. The hinge is articulated so the waffles come out with uniform thickness. The edge of the hot part of the iron has a channel to catch excess batter, and, if that overflows, the plastic surrounding the iron has another channel to prevent batter dripping on your counter. The settings for crispness work. The recipe that comes with it is tasty. A perfect product.

The ready indicator has an audible beep, which is great if you are absent-minded before coffee and multi-task while making waffles, but may be annoying to some people.

Don't try to squeeze the batter with the lid, let the weight of the lid do the work. The waffles will generally adhere to the lid more than the base, but peel off very easily if pricked with a fork at the edge, with no waffle bits left on the iron.

Good waffles while it worked
This thing whipped out good quality waffles so fast it was amazing.

Unfortunately, after about 20 uses, it just stopped working. I opened the thing up and couldn't find the problem (I'm an electrical engineer). After reading another review with the same problem, I don't plan on buying another one. Too bad, because it was a great waffle maker. I just hope my next waffle maker is as fast as this one.

Nutone Filter Bags For CV350 CV352 CV353 CV450 CV653 CV750 - Filter Bags For CV350 CV352 CV3

not genuine product
The quality of the product was not necessarily bad (that is still to be seen by how it holds up), but the product was represented as genuine nutone bags and they are not.

Well made
Product is as advertised, but well made and easy to use. Works great, with no leakage or dust escaping. Recommend.

Great Product with a Great Price
I was very pleased with the price and quality of this product. This is a "must have" if you have a central vacuum system.

Vitamix 2-Part Lid and Plug, 64-Ounce (High Profile)

Very good
It dits with my vitamix 5200 that I bought brand new a couple of months ago. It is pretty much the same lid and plug than the original.

PERFECT
The lid is exactly what I needed. It shipped promptly and works perfectly. It even has a locking feature that the original did not have.

Difference between 48 and 64 ounce containers
I couldn't find a lid for my 48 ounce container and this looks like it is the same. I took a chance and ordered one. Unfortunatly there is a slight difference between the two lids and it wouldn't work. The rubber cap is slightly different and the plastic center is slightly different. :(
I returned it with no problems. :)
I did manage to get the correct replacement from the Vitamix company. :)

Hamilton Beach 56206 Smoothie Smart Blender

mixed reviews
I see that the reviews of this blender are quite mixed: from "can't be beat!" to "worthless."

Well, all I can do is tell you my experiences with this model.

The negative: Maybe it's just me, because others have written that it crushes ice cubes. I tried five ice cubes at a time, reducing it to even just one at a time, and I simple couldn't get more than something that resembled frost in the bottom of the blender.

I'll use it and enjoy it for hot chocolate and smoothies, but I'm still going to have to get an ice-crusher.

The positive:

It made perfect smoothies for me, using bananas, strawberries, blueberries and other fruit. Much of the fruit was frozen, but it still produced well-blended smoothies.

It makes wonderful "Abuelita-style" hot chocolate. This is the Mexican hot chocolate you make first heating milk in a microwave (Pyrex bowl), then pouring it into the blender and adding one of those hard Mexican discs of...

"The dogs did bark , the children screamed, Up flew the windows all; And every soul bawled out as loud as he could bawl."
I hope everyone enjoyed that little bit of William Cowper. And now about this Hamilton Beach Blender. Every once in a while you come across a product with a flaw so glaring you wonder how the product-development meeting went. Something like this maybe: "Well boys this smoothie blender is jack-hammer loud and not particularly good at making actual smoothies, and a previous incarnation of the blender, fondly remembered as 56205, was lambasted with bad reviews because the motor had a tendency to blow out in a month or so, but men we are not ones to learn from the past so I declare version 56206 market-ready!" And then the Regional Junior Vice-President, East Coast Division Bottom Floor, blows a kazoo and here we are, testing the Hamilton Beach 56206 Smoothie "Smart" Blender. Read on for the lousy details.

SET-UP AND APPEARANCE: I will admit this blender looks great, and I truly love the outward design. The controls are simple and very functional, with a one-touch "Smoothie"...

Ultimate blender, and not just for smoothies
This is the ultimate blender, and not just for smoothies. The heavy glass pitcher is so much more durable than the plastic kind, and the built-in spout makes for a splatter-proof pour.

My favorite feature would have to be the auto smoothie button. Simply put all the smoothie ingredients in, hit that button just once, and it does it all for you, from pulsing to chop ice to the final whir for that creamy, perfect consistency.

I've used mine to puree soup and for smoothies, and am totally happy with it. Unpeeled apple chunks in my smoothies practically melt to liquid, and even the skins are barely visible specks.

Great Northern Popcorn Red Foundation Antique Style Popcorn Popper Machine Complete with Cart and 8-Ounce Kettle

Great Popcorn Popper
We love the popcorn popper. It works great. Some people have complained that it is difficult to clean. So far, I think it cleans up really easily as the kettle is very easy to take in and out of the machine. The one complaint I had was with the "starter kit" that included "25 bags." It was a little deceiving as you would think that "starter kit" would mean 25 bags of popcorn, no, it only comes with 25 paper popcorn bags, so you still need to order the popcorn when you order the machine. Other than that, the popcorn is as good as any movie theatre.

Pops quickly, but oh, the clean-up!
This little popcorn maker works exactly as described. Just add the oil, salt and corn and voila! However, there is not a temperature gauge for the kettle. I have used other kettle-based poppers that took a bit longer and had few unpopped kernels. This unit consistently had a high number of "old maids", and you have to be right on top of it to dump them before they burn.
My biggest complaint is the clean up. The instructions say to cook a cup of water in the kettle and use the heat and steam to wipe away the gunk that the oil leaves behind. I only wish it were that easy. Maybe you could do this using a razor blade scraper on the glass walls. But that would still leave all the black, gooey junk that collects in the kettle. I've removed the kettle and carefully used boiling water and scrubbers and even some dishwashing soap to clean the kettle. The only way it got completely clean was by disassembling the kettle, and doing so could mean the loss of some very tiny screws.
There...

Max Burton 6200 Deluxe 1800-Watt Induction Cooktop

Faster than my electric range
Just got this, and put a pot of water on my range and also on my 6200. The Burton was incredibly faster than the range. The fan is no where near as loud as other induction cooktops, and it shut down instantly when I shut it off or automatically when I removed the pot. Fear not....this is a good product.
The cooking surface cools down very fast as well. The light comes on when you plug it in, but will not heat until you turn it on. I like that.....it lets you know that it is plugged in.

Max Burton 6200 Induction Cooktop
Received my Max Burton 6200 Induction Cooktop a week ago and so far I love it. It's a bit larger and taller than I expected but it has made me clean out my cabinets to accommodate it, so not a bad thing. This unit cooks extremely fast and so far I have NOT burned anything. I fried chicken for the first time in 15yrs and with 1/2 the oil you usually use it came out perfect and no mess to clean up. The only negative thing I can find about it so far is I wish I had a Settings Manual to guide me on which setting are best for which foods. I have Looked online and there is also nothing available. I would highly recommend this product for Rvs, boats, or anyone looking to save energy and never burn anything again!

Works great with pressure cooker and light frying
This cooktop is very nice and easy to use. Works best for controlled temperature cooking. With the pressure cooker I set it on the high power setting to get the cooker to come to pressure, then switch over to temperature setting at 250 degrees and you can walk away without worrying if the presure gets too high and steams off through the release valve. On frying I gound excellent results if you don't putt too much food in the oil and reduce the temperature of the oil too quickly. The cooktop doesn't recover fast enough to keep the oil up at 350-370 degrees. So cook small batches and let the temperature get back up to the target temp before adding the second batch..

Doulex Mini Coffee Cup Mist Humidifier USB powered

great office help!
Have recently had to have a humidifier in my bedroom at night to help with sinus problems in the winter. Wanted to have that same benefit at work, but did not want big, bulky or drippy machines. Received this at Christmas and I love it! It really cranks out lots of cool vapor mist with no noise and absolutely no condensation on the desk or papers. Everyone has commented on how cute it is. My sinuses are happy and so am I.

Best "cup" at my desk
I got LASIK and got a nice big humidifier for my home to help battle the dry eye discomfort that comes with getting LASIK and I never had a problem at home but at work was a different story. It was so dry at my work place that my eyes would get so dry that they would start to have a burning feeling so I bought this cute little humidifier to sit at my desk and it is great!! It is nice and small perfict for sitting on the desk. It is so quite you forget it is even there. I bought it for my eyes but have also noticed an improvement in my breathing, my nose doesn't get as plugged up and I see a difference in my skin I don't need to hardly use lotion or chapstick anymore it is so nice!!

Works great then it didn't
The spring/cotton/sensor didn't work well after a refill. The stream of mist turned into puffs of mist. I tried replacing the cotton nothing...I have to tilt the lid to make it work (yes it was opened. It was the only way the sensor door stays all the way open). The sensor was not working correctly. When the little slider is open all the way, it works great. If they can improve on the product, I think it will be awesome. Great concept, bad parts & lots of typos in the instruction.

26010 Hamilton Beach Flip Belgian Waffle Maker

Great Flip Waffle Maker For The Price... Make Sure You Spray Grease The Irons
I tried it for the first time yesterday. I felt like it was a gamble since I could not find any reviews on it before I purchased it. As it turns out, it worked great and made great tasting Belgian Waffles. I used Bisquick batter (the waffle recipe). Make sure you spray both sides with cooking spray (I did this for each waffle made). Once the irons are hot, pour the batter into the center, flip immediately, and cook the waffles for about 3 minutes for best results. Don't rely on the green light to come on to indicate the waffles are done. The waffles cook faster after the first one.

Great for the price
I bought this to make waffles for the family- especially because my toddler seemed to like waffles. After scouring the reviews, I liked the price and the comments on this waffle maker. My son is still working on chewing, so he doesn't like it if the waffle is too crispy. On the other hand, my husband and I prefer crispy. This is the perfect waffle maker for this!

We actually just keep the setting for how long on the lower side. When the green light comes on, I take out the waffle for my son. If I leave it, the light will go off and a few minutes later it will go on again and it's perfectly crisp!

One caution- even though it is a non-stick, you really do need to put some Pam on it to get the waffles off smoooth. Easy to clean. We make waffles every week and it's perfect. I would definitely recommend!

Great deal
I got this waffle maker a while back and have used it four or five times already. For the price and the ease of use I would recommend it to anyone who wants a good, reliable waffle maker but doesn't want to spend fifty bucks or more.

Euroflex Monster Steam-Jet-II 1200w Disinfecting Floor Steam Cleaner With Carpet Glide and 2 UPGRADED Microfiber Pads

Works great with a little modification....
After reading all the reviews I settled on the monster steam mop. After reading the directions I went to work. Steam appeared to be shooting from all directions around the mop head giving the appearance that this thing was working. But the bottom of the mop was just warm, all the steam coming from the sides looks great but did little to heat the mop pad. I was dissapointed and tried all the different pads, even pre wetting them to see if that helped. Nothing did and I thought I had a regular mop on my hands. I let it cool down and inspected the bottom. The steam was directed to the sides of the head via a couple of small channels. Not effective at all. I then saw three small screws holding a plastic cover on the bottom. Removed the screws and plastic cover, plugged it in and WOW, a real steamer. Tons of steam directed at the bottom of the head and actually got hot enough to disinfect. Give it a try. And your'e welcome.

The Good & the Bad
I recived my Monster EZ2 on Saturday and I've used it to clean my downstairs since it's all tiled.

First off, I think my expectations of just how WELL a steamer was going to clean were NOT realistic. That being said. It is VERY easy to use and it DOES clean!

Bad:
* It is VERY hard to push forward. I have had to use my foot at times to help push it forward. It is a strain!
* The pad WILL bunch up when pushing forward if you have not placed the pad far enough forward for the steamer to 'glide' on the pad.
* I have a 13' x 24' living room & it takes at least 2 fill ups to clean the entire floor. That is not so bad for me since I'm a stay-at-home mom, but for others that are working, that can be time consuming.
* It takes two pads to clean my living room/hall area (again, not that large of an issue for me since I do not work out of the home).
* The major annoyance for ME is that small cup that include for you to use to fill the steamer with...

READ THIS- I did a lot of research when my last steam mop died
I owned the shark steam mop for about a year and half- and I LOVED it. When it broke, and I went to buy another one, I noticed that in many many shark reviews, users mentioned that it tended to live only about a year, which was my own experience. Considering that they aren't cheap, I started reading reviews for a comparable or better steam mop that would live for a longer time. Over the course of a week, I browsed reviews on every single steam mop available for sale on Amazon among other sites- the Monster seemed to do very well across the board. I have owned it now about 6 months and I am NOT happy. First let me preface this by saying that I am a single female, living in NYC- My apartment is not large, and I do not have heavy foot/animal traffic in my home. My shark replaced my traditional mop, floor cleaner fluid and bucket ENTIRELY. I am a very clean person who is rather meticulous about my home, and when there are large spills, I use a sponge/paper towels, floor cleaner,elbow...
